The working principle and function of flash steaming tank

Working principle

The principle of stainless steel flash tank is to use the saturated vapor pressure difference of the substance at different temperatures to rapidly evaporate the liquid substance by reducing the pressure, so as to achieve the transformation of the liquid substance to the gaseous substance.

Flash tank structure

The structure of flash tank is generally composed of tank body, feed pipe, discharge pipe, steam pipe, exhaust pipe, etc. The tank body is the main part of the flash tank, and its interior is usually made of stainless steel material, which has good corrosion resistance, high temperature and pressure resistance. The feed pipe and the discharge pipe are used respectively for the input and output of the liquid substance to the flash tank, the steam is used for the input of steam to the tank, and the exhaust pipe is used to discharge the gas in the flash tank.

When the liquid material enters the flash tank, the high temperature and high pressure steam is input through the steam pipe, so that the pressure in the tank rises rapidly. At this time, the saturated vapor pressure of the liquid substance also increases, but because the temperature of the liquid substance is low, its saturated vapor pressure is still low. Therefore, when the pressure in the tube reaches a certain value, the saturated vapor pressure of the liquid substance will be lower than the pressure in the tank, and the liquid substance will quickly evaporate, thus transforming into a gaseous substance.

The advantage of flash tanks is that they can quickly convert liquid substances into gaseous substances, thereby increasing production efficiency. In addition, the flash tank also has the advantages of energy saving and environmental protection, so it can convert liquid substances into gaseous substances at a lower temperature, thereby reducing energy consumption and environmental pollution.

When water is heated at atmospheric pressure, 100 ° C is the temperature that liquid water can allow at that pressure. Reheating does not raise the temperature of the water, but only converts the water into steam. The heat absorbed by water in the process of heating up to the boiling point is called "sensible heat", or the sensible heat of saturated water. The heat required to convert saturated water into steam at the same atmospheric pressure is called latent heat. However, if the water is heated at a certain pressure, the boiling point of the water will be higher than 100 ° C, so more sensible heat is required. The higher the pressure, the higher the boiling point of water and the higher the heat content. The pressure is reduced, part of the sensible heat is released, and this part of the excess heat is absorbed in the form of latent heat, causing part of the water to be "flash" into steam.
